Make-up, Make-up, Make-up

I am not to sure how well you can see these pictures but, I had to post them because the story behind these pictures are hilarious.
As you may know we are trying to potty train Kenzie (we have been for the past 6 months)and also as you may know it's not going well. We have tried to bribe her with everything. (and I as I have read through some of your post, I see bribary is not uncommon)
Nothing WORKS!!!
Kenzie was in the bath tub and decided she needed to go poop. Kason was in the bathroom with her at the time and he has huge issue with Kenzie pooping in the tub. He told her that if she would get out of the tub and poop on the toilet he would get her make-up for her and put it on her.
The next thing I know Kason runs in the kitchen to tell me that Kenzie pooped in the toilet. "How did you get her to do that?" I asked Kason smiles and says I told her she could have her make-up.
FYI I hate the make-up that comes with dolls or barbies. Its hidious and it's really hard to remove from her face. I had the make-up hid from her for 7 months, yes 7 months. She received the make-up for her second birthday in Jan. I have had it on the top of the fridge, hopeing she would forget about it.
Now... I had to give up the make-up, and just as I feared it was hidious and it was very difficult to remove from her little face. AND... she has yet to poop in the toilet since.
The make-up is now located in the garbage.

The make-up artist himself.

UPDATE ON EASTEN

I am laughing out loud as I am posting these pictures of Easten. No this is not how Holly does his hair but, I am tring to talk her into the new the style. Our kids have swimming lessons starting at 4:30 and ends at 6:00 between our three kids. This just happens to be the hottest time of the day. At Gins house there is little shade and the little shade there is belongs to her neighbors. This particular day was really hot and Kenzie had a squirt bottle and was squirting Holly and Easten. This hair was the result of bordem on me and Holly's part. I love it!! Easten is cute no matter what hair-do he has.
Easten went to Primarys for a check-up on Monday the 28th and all looked good. He only gained 3oz. but, he grew 2 inches in length. His spleen is over from where it should be and there is some scar tissue around his liver. These are all first signs of liver failure but, for now we are so glad he is happy and at home.

Me, Michelle, Mom, Tiffany & HollyJo.

C.S.I Board Game

Happy Birthday Michelle. My sister turned 30 on the 24th of July. This was a big Birthday for her, she was certain that she should go find her a burial plot so that she was prepared. I think 30 is a hard number for a lot of people. I actully had a harder time with Ben turning 30 then he did. 30 sounds so old but, I am only two short years away from that big number myself.
We love to get together as a family and Birthdays are the best time to celebrate together. We don't need to go anywhere fancy or even leave my mothers house to have a good time.
We got a babysitter for our kids and just had a night with adults. We order pizza and played the board game C.S.I. This game if you haven't played it is very intense. You have to be paying attention at all times and really listen or you will miss an importent clue in the game.
There was so many of us that we had to play in teams. Holly & Rusty, Ben & I and Michelle and Joe. (Tiffany sat out this game and played with baby Easten.) I am not a huge board game fan (unless it is CLUE) so Ben made me leave the table because I was interupting his concentration. This is when I started to snap pictures. This was making everyone a bit angry. Oh well it made for some good picture to Blog!

Board Games

When our family plays a board game it is SERIOUS. I am the CLUE champ. I have yet to be beaten at Clue. This defintly rubs Rusty the wrong way. He is very competitive as well and I think he hates to lose to a girl. If anyone wants the challenge of a clue game, you just let me know.
It is really fun when we can get our entire family together, we always have a great time no matter what we end up doing. We are always laughing. I have a great family.

The BEST cake EVER!!

Okay everyone I have found the perfect cake. I must tell you that I am not a huge cake fan. I was in charge of a Birthday at my work and at the last minute forgot I needed a cake. I ran to LEE'S in LOGAN and grabbed the first cake that looked good. This was a huge mistake on my part because now all I do is crave this cake. First off you can only get this cake at the Logan Lees. I tried to get the cake at the Lees in Smithfield and the frosting is somewhat diffrent. The cake is an oreo cake and the selling point of this cake is the Frosting. It is a whipped frosting. I still haven't been able to pin point excatly what the frosting is made of.
So for MIchelle's Birthday I told my mother about this cake and she went and bought it for her and now all my sister crave the cake. We bought two of these cakes on Michelle's Birthday.
Go and purchase this cake and let me know if your taste buds feel the same as ours do.

Follow the Ants.

Okay so if you think that it's easy to entertain (2) two years olds, your right! Kenzie and Hunter spotted two ants on the sidewalk. They both knelt down and watch these two ants for several minutes. Both of them followed the ants where ever they went. Hunter and Kenzie carried on a conversation between the two of them about these ants and all Michelle and I could do was laugh. Then out of nowhere Hunter had had enough of the ant watching and decided to elimate the ants. Squash!!! Now Hunter thought that this was hilarious but, anyone who has a little girl knows this is an emotional situation. Kenzie cried and yelled at Hunter until she could no longer talk. We still have to have conversations about the little ants the Hunter KILLED.

How SWEET

These two are so cute together, if one of them is missing from Grandma's or somewhere where they are playing they always ask where the other one is. Hunter is learning quickly how to deal with girls. Just give her what she wants!

Look at this Get-up

You can't help but laugh when you see this picture. Kenzie was ready to swim. She had on her life jacket and her goggles that are 10 sizes to big for her head.

Ben & Kenzie

This pictue is one of my favorite. Kenzie thinks that now she takes swimming lessons that she is a swimming pro. We were just entering the pool and getting our things laid out and I look up and Kenzie had jumped into the pool. A very nice young man saved my child from drowning. This is the reason for the funny looking suit on Kenzie. This suit is like a life jacket, we quickly realized that she needed some sort of floation devise. This Girl has no FEAR!.

Holly & Easten

Holly is going to kill me for posting this picture of her on my blog but, I think it is so cute of her and Easten. Easten can't get into the public pool so, the next best thing was to get him his own clean pool. We brought this over to the pool and filled it with semi-warm water and Easten went crazy. Holly of course thought he needed someone to play with so, she hopped in with him.

Kason

This is the Kasons third session of swimming this year and it is Kenzies second session.

Poor Kason. I don't get much pictures of him when he is swimming. He is at the point where the things Gin has his class doing are so fun to watch I forget to snap pictures. I watch Kason and I can't belive the things he can do in the water. This picture was a quick snap shot because I realized at the end of his session I didn't get one picture of him. Sorry Kace!

10 seconds of Kenzie being completely STILL

I can't belive Gin can get Kenzie to hold still this long. They have to float for 10 seconds, this means they must be compeletely still. I am still amazed at what Gin can get Kenzie to do.

Diving Board

I can't belive she has no fear of this board. I love the way she walks very slowly to the diving board (the kids are not allowed to run to the diving board)and climbs her little body up the ladder and stands very still until it is her turn. She then walks out to the edge of the board and tells Gin " I can do this myself!" You see her clown cheeks and then she jumps in. You know that because she is so small she goes pretty deep into the water when she jumps. I don' think I could hold my breath that long.

KENZIE'S FIRST HAIR CUT!

OH BOY! WHAT A DAY. I THOUGHT IT WAS TIME TO GET KENZIES HAIR CUT. I TOOK HER TO MY COUSIN ASHLEY. WHAT AN ORDEAL. I THOUGHT SHE WOULD LOVE TO SIT IN THE CHAIR AND GET HER HAIR WASHED AND CUT. BOY WAS I WRONG. SHE SCREAMED AND SCREAMED. SHE HATED EVERY MINUTE OF THE HAIR CUT.
I LOVE THE WAY IT TURNED OUT, I THINK IT IS SUCH A CUTE CUT ON HER. IT MAKES HER LOOK SO MUCH OLDER.

ISN'T SHE CUTE?

FOURTH OF JULY

THIS YEAR FOR THE FOURTH OF JULY WE WENT BOATING. WE WENT TO NEWTON LAKE FOR THE WEEKEND. OF COURSE KENZIE & I CAME HOME BECAUSE WE HATE TO CAMP BUT, KASON AND BEN CAMPED. KASON LOVED CAMPING AND CAME HOME A COMPLETE MESS. I GUESS THAT IS HOW YOU CAN TELL THEY HAD FUN.
ALL OF BENS FAMILY WAS THERE CAMPING AND THEN MY FAMILY CAME UP DURNING THE DAY TO PLAY IN THE WATER. IT WAS ALOT OF FUN.
BEN & I AND OUR KIDS WATCHED THE FIREWORKS THIS YEAR AT MY SISTER HOLLYS HOUSE. THEY LIVE CLOSE TO THE STADIUM AND HAVE A PERFECT VIEW OF THE FIREWORK. KENZIE LOVED THE FIREWORKS THIS YEAR AND SHE JUST SAT THERE AND WATCHED. DIDN'T MOVE AT ALL. LITTLE EASTEN WAS TRYING TO CATCH THE FIREWORKS, HOW CUTE IS THAT!!
WE HAD A GREAT HOLIDAY.

KENZIE LOVES THE WATER

THIS IS OUR NEW WATER TOY. IT IS A BIG BALL THAT YOU CLIMB INTO AND ROLL AROUND IN IT LIKE A HAMSTER WHEEL. THIS WAS A GREAT BABYSITTER. KENZIE AND HUNTER
(MY NEPHEW) PLAYED IN THIS THING ALL DAY. WE TIED IT TO THE TREE SO THAT IT WOULDN'T FLOAT AWAY AND THERE THEY PLAYED.

KASON ON SKIS

KASON LEARNED TO WATER SKI THIS YEAR AND AS YOU CAN SEE IS VERY GOOD. HE TAKES AFTER HIS DAD. THIS IS A BOARD THAT HELPS THEM LEARN TO GET UP AND IT HELPS TO KEEP THE FEET TOGETHER. KASON WILL TRY SEPERATE SKIS NEXT TIME AND WE WILL TIE THE TIPS TOGETHER AND HE WILL PRACTICE ON THOSE FOR AWHILE BEFORE WE UNTIE THE SKIS.

Swimming Lessons.

This year we were able to put Kenzie in swim lessons. I wasen't to sure about this but, it was really importent to Ben & I that both our kids know how to swim. I was sure Kenzie would scream and throw a fit. I was worried and warned Gin that she was going to be a handful.
I was so surprised when she walked right into the water and sat down and listened to Gin. Gin is an amazing teacher and can teach ANYONE how to swim. Kenzie loves swimming lessons and is very good durning her session.
On parent day we get to come and watch the kids and see what they have learned. Kenzie could hold her breath under water and flutter kick. She dives off the diving board and tries to swim to the ladder.
This has helped her so much with the water. In the tub now she puts her head in the water and does her clown cheeck.

Ready, Set, JUMP!

I can't believe she jumps off the diving board.

No Fishies in my mouth.

Swim to the ladder.

Kasons turn to swim.

Kason is our swimming PRO! He has taken from Gin for the past 3 1/2 years. He can swim under water the entire length of her pool. He amazes me with his swiming ability. I am so glad they are both in swimming, we are around water all summer. A quick story that just happened. We were out at Newton Dam teaching Kason and Hayden how to ski, the two of them were playing in the water and Hayden threw Kasons stick into the water. Kason without a life jacket started to swim out to get his stick. He realized that he could no longer touch and started to panick. I couldn't get to him fast enough and I could see the fear in his little eyes and then his head started to bob in and out of the water. There was a lady on a tube that grabbed him and held him there until I could reach him. It was really scary but, a very good lesson for Kason.
