I don't know why I started this tradition of making my kids their birthday cakes. I thought it would be a lot of fun but, it turns out to be very stressful and in the end I shed a few tears when it is cut into. I get to attached to these cakes.
Kenzie changed her mind quite a few times before she finalized on Ariel.

Are you crazy. Okay I am the same way I make my kids cakes too. I have to say I never go to that much work. You are awesome.

Geez girl, talk about making the rest of us look bad! I'm incredibly impressed with your talents though--my cake making is much much much more simplistic than yours. You are amazing!

So I think we are going to try and make a Hello Kitty cake for Elley's birthday!! Man I hope it turns out half as good as yours! I gave your mom an invitation I know its a pain in the butt to drive down here but if you guys can make it we would love to see you and your cute kids :)

Wow, that cake is amazing! But don't stress about eating it, you got a pic for the blog, that's what's important, right?!?
